We built the other half
Private credit in Australia runs on relationships, which works well if you place with the same three lenders every month and badly for everyone else.
Everybody waits.
A comparison site solves the smallest part of it.
The usual response is a comparison site, and there are several. The deal still has to be structured, the figures still have to reconcile, the exit still has to hold up, and the submission still has to be written the way that particular credit team reads.
On most private deals the broker does all of it after hours, on a policy they’ve never seen, and a good proportion of what gets declined was placeable with a change nobody spotted.
So we built the other half.
Every lender’s credit policy encoded as structured rules, and a credit team that uses them: structuring, fixing and packaging a deal before a lender opens it.
We’re in Australia and we work only on business-purpose lending secured by real property.
