Short questions, straight answers

About On Panel

What do you do that a comparison site does not?
We do the credit work that a comparison site leaves to you. It shows you lenders and stops there. Our team reconciles the figures, tests the exit, structures the entity and security position, resolves what would otherwise come back from credit, writes the submission in the lender’s own format, and manages it through valuation, legals and settlement.
Do you make the credit decision?
No, the credit decision is the lender’s and always will be. We do the credit work and prepare the submission, and the lender decides. On Panel does not hold a credit or financial services licence and does not give advice.
How many lenders are on the panel?
The home page gives the figure, and it rises as lenders join. A lender on panel is matched to a deal once their policy is encoded and they have signed off on every line, because a lender with half a policy on file cannot be structured against.
Who owns On Panel?
On Panel Pty Ltd, an Australian company. No panel lender holds an ownership interest in the platform, and no lender can pay for position, priority or early access.
What lending does this cover?
Business-purpose and commercial lending secured by Australian real property, from $250,000. First mortgages, second mortgages and development, for company borrowers. No consumer lending.
Do you use AI?
For reading documents, yes. Extraction proposes each figure with the sentence it came from, and a person confirms every figure before it counts. The policy assessment itself is a rules engine over each lender’s written policy, which is why the same deal always gets the same answer.

For brokers

Do I lose any of my commission?
No, you keep 100% of the brokerage on every deal. There is no split, no referral share and no clip, and On Panel takes no part of what your client agrees to pay you.
What does On Panel cost me?
Brokers pay $0 in On Panel fees, from the first quote through settlement. You keep 100% of your brokerage. The lender pays On Panel on settlement. Interest, lender fees and third-party costs still apply.
Can I stay involved?
As much or as little as you like. Some brokers read the file before it goes to credit and join the call with the analyst. Others hand it over and hear from us at settlement. You can switch mid-deal.
Nobody will do it. Now what?
No fit? There may still be options to explore. Our credit and sales team can review the structure and clarify what information is needed. The lender assesses the deal and makes the final credit decision.
How fast do verdicts come back?
A quick quote answers in about a minute. A lodged scenario is assessed against the whole panel at once, and the lenders you send it to have five business days to respond under On Panel’s lender agreement.
Can I compare term sheets before choosing?
Side by side, before your client signs anything: rate, amount, LVR, term, establishment, line fee, conditions, expiry and total cost of funds, with the declines underneath and the reason for each.
What happens to the other lenders when my client signs?
They lose access and are told the deal is not proceeding. They never learn who won.

For lenders

Is my policy shared with other lenders?
Your policy is never published, never shown to a broker and never shown to another lender. Your pricing does not sit in a comparison table that ends up in a competitor’s pitch.
How do I appear to brokers?
As an alias, “Lender R”, until your terms are signed. A broker sees your fund type, your settlement window and your pricing band, with the verdict and the reason your policy produced. You never see another lender’s terms, identity or verdict.
What is the response obligation?
On Panel’s lender agreement sets five business days to respond on each scenario you receive, and asks that a decline carry its reason. Both are what make the panel worth a broker’s time.
Can I change my policy?
A change to your policy is a new dated policy version, set with the desk. It takes over that day and the old one stops matching.
What does the panel cost to join?
Nothing to join, nothing to receive deals, nothing to decline them. A fee on settlement and nothing else, at the rate and cap set in the lender agreement you sign on joining.
Can we pay for better placement?
There is no paid priority, no early-access tier and no way to purchase position. Every lender a broker sends a scenario to receives it in the same moment, and each distribution is written to an append-only log the desk will open on the first call.

Privacy and trust

Will you contact my client?
Not unless you ask us to and put us in the loop. We do not market to your borrowers, and a lender only learns who they are when you send them the deal.
Are the rates real or indicative?
They are what that lender told our desk their policy was, on the version and date shown, for the circumstances shown. That is considerably more than a rate card and it is still not an offer. Only a lender’s issued term sheet is an offer, and terms can move once a lender has the full file.
Who sees my client’s details?
Nobody, until you send the deal. A quick quote saves nothing unless you choose to save it by email. When you send, each lender you chose sees the deal in full, the address, the borrowing entity and the guarantors included, and every lender on the panel has signed On Panel’s lender agreement before seeing any deal. Assets and liabilities are asked for once, at application, and go to the one lender your client chose.
Are the verdicts a credit decision?
A verdict measures fit against a lender’s stated appetite at a point in time. It is indicative, and the credit decision, the valuation and the terms are the lender’s. What a verdict adds is the reason, quantified, and what would change it.

Still a question?

Bring a scenario. Start with an address or enter the details yourself, then see which lenders fit.
